Mays Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
One of the primary reasons for the success of the Twin Commander line over the years is the people who sell and support it, and Bob Mays is one of those people. Mays has spent more than three decades populating the Western U.S. with an estimated 200 new turboprop Commanders, many of which he has sold several times over to different buyers. He ran Western Commander for The Jet Center in Santa Monica, which later moved to Van Nuys, and he continues to sell Commanders today as an independent broker. Twin Commander Aircraft President Matt Isley (right) surprised Mays recently at Van Nuys with a Lifetime Achievement award recognizing his “lifetime of dedication and support of the Twin Commander fleet.” Look for a profile of Mays in an upcoming issue.
